Claudia Lay is a new homeschooling mother of two middle schoolers who share her passion for music. Before then, she was the Director of Operations at Oak Hills Church and a member of its Senior Leadership Team.

Claudia's musical journey began early with piano, ballet, tap, and jazz lessons. In middle school, she excelled in choir, winning Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) competitions and securing spots in the Regional and District Choir for several consecutive years. Her notable achievements in high school include performing at Carnegie Hall, earning the 2nd Alternate Chair with the TMEA All-State Choir, and receiving a gold medal through U.I.L. Texas Solo and Ensemble. Furthermore, Claudia showcased her talents in various musical productions such as Oklahoma and Bye, Bye, Birdie.

Her children, also share her passion for music. While attending public school, her daughter was selected for the TMEA Regional Choir, received a Gold Medal in U.I.L. Texas Solo & Ensemble, and also actively participated in musical theater. At Oak Hills Church, both children took part in Kid’s Praise. They are refining their musical abilities by taking piano and voice lessons at CAC and actively pursuing their passion for music.

As a homeschooling family, they are members of Boerne Area Christian Homeschoolers (BACH) and Hill Country Christian Homeschoolers (HCCH). Claudia has enhanced their homeschool curriculum with music theory and beginner piano lessons and is eager to share her talents and gifts through teaching at CAC.
